Our rather corona-influence football season is over, and hopefully you will enjoy a well-deserved holiday. After the holidays, we will continue where we left off, helping players to enjoy and improve their football.
The Technical Committee (TC) believes that players develop best when they play and train with players of a similar level, and get the challenge in matches that fits with their own abilities. Since the introduction of the corona measures, the TC has been considering how we should proceed next season (in consultation with the board, the youth trainers, and others).
How will we arrange the teams next season?
• Provisional phase: until mid-October holiday
The intention is to keep the teams of the 2019-2020 season intact in the 2020-2021 season where that is possible. Even for teams that will remain largely intact, minor changes may be necessary where there are players either leaving or joining the club.
However, we cannot avoid changing teams in
a) age classes in which teams move to a larger playing field and the number of players on the field increases
b) age classes in which two years play together
By having players train together immediately after the summer break, by organizing extra exhibition games and mini-tournaments, trainers can put together the teams, with the final responsibility being with the TC.
• Main phase: after mid-October holiday
Some changes may still be necessary over the October break, but from the October-break until at least the winter-break, we will in principle no longer switch players. Stability and tranquillity are important for young players, and therefore we will also change the composition of teams as little as possible during the winter break.
For more details, we refer you to the previously published document setting out details (by year of birth) - see the link below:
We emphasize that all these plans may be subject to change. The "Corona measures" are being relaxed little by little, but could be tightened again if the virus flares up again. We all influence this, and can help to avoid the risk of re-tightening measures by adhering to the hygiene measures and the 1.5 meter distance.
Composition of the Junior / Youth Technical Committee
For the new season, the Junior / Youth TC has been expanded considerably with more Football Technical Coordinators (VTCs):
